About
The creation of this LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) Decision Aid was funded through a generous award provided by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
This award has allowed us to speak to LVAD patients, caregivers, and clinicians in order to figure out what patients want to know when making decisions about LVAD therapy. In all, we completed over 80 patient, caregiver, and clinician interviews to inform the creation of this decision aid.
To learn more about our methods during this process, please download the document below. We strive very hard to meet any and all decision aid standards set forth by IPDAS.
The Team
Our LVAD Decision Aid was made through the collaboration of an interdiciplinary team and is funded through the generous support of The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Feel free to learn more about us.
